Top Ten Tuesday – My Ten Books for Autumn

That Artsy Reader Girl’s Challenge for this week is choose 10 books you want to read for the Fall. It was hard to narrow it down but here is my list:

What Angel’s Fear by C. S. Harris
The Bright Years by Sarah Damoff
Murder on Mulberry Bend by Victoria Thompson
A Kind Worth Killing by Peter Swanson
Julia Lives in a Van Mystery Series L.C. Richards
Uncle Silas by Sheridan Le Fanu
Briar Club by Kate Quinn
Different Seasons by Stephen King
Harlem Rhapsody by Victoria Christopher Murray
The Dentist by Tim Sullivan

Not sure if I will get to all of them but I will make the effort.

  1. Glad for your list. I’ll be interested to hear what you think of Briar Club … and I’m sort of interested in the Tim Sullivan series … so if you like it let us know. I have listened to The Bright Years on audio … see what you think. A bit of a sad one. Good luck with your fall reading.

  2. That is an interesting list, Kathy. I hope you enjoy The Dentist, I liked it a lot. (And the second book in the series, too.) I have had a copy of Different Seasons by King for years but haven’t read any of the novellas yet.

I look forward to any thoughts you share on these books.

    1. Hi Tracy, I am interested to read The Dentist. Heard good things. I became a Steven King fan last year. Had never read him but I loved the Shining.

  3. Looks like a busy fall reading schedule. I absolutely loved Briar Club–hope you enjoy it as well. I just finished a Stephen King (Shawshank Redemption)–I don’t read him much, but he is just so good. First rate writer and storyteller.

Uncle Silas is one of those classics I think about reading. I’ll be interested in reading what you think of it.

I read What Angels Fear in 2006 (according to GoodReads) and enjoyed it and read the second book in the series, and meant to read more, but haven’t yet. Very atmospheric!

  6. I had a list of ten books for summer and read six, so was happy with that. I then did an autumn list of twelve and have already read three so that’s going well. I have one of your books on my lists coincidently, Uncle Silas, I’ve read quite a lot of Le Fanu’s short stories but not this novel. Very intrigued.
